Made by “repassing” the regular Valpolicella wine over the the dried grapes used to make the Amarone and macerated for five days. Supple, rich, and savory with blackberry, blueberry and red plum. Dark spices and woody notes. Cacao nib on the finish alongside polished tannins. This wine is mid-way towards Amarone, and is incredible with stews and braised meats.
